The LEED-certified Hilton Asheville is found in a LEED-ND registered development known as the Biltmore Park Town Square, 10 miles from downtown. Also find highly-reviewed resorts in surrounding towns and picturesque mountain settings near plenty of hiking and waterfalls. Many are in or near downtown and the Biltmore Estate. You won't regret it.Asheville has a wonderful selection of hotels - ranging from luxury to budget. If you are looking to hang out in downtown Asheville for most of your stay and you can book this hotel for a relatively decent price, do it. I have no reason to doubt they'd be anything but professional.
The staff is friendly as well, though we didn't encounter any problems during our stay so I can't speak to how they would handle that. If we'd stayed in the spring, summer or fall it would have been totally fine. We stayed in February and it was cold as balls, so it was kind of a bummer to have to walk a few blocks more than what we were used to (we usually stay at the Renaissance). The hotel is relatively close to the downtown area, although it does sit at one end and is a bit longer of a hike than the other hotels we've stayed in previously.
The bathroom was also clean and had a modern shower with decent shampoo/conditioner if you are the sort to use the toiletries provided by the hotel (I am not, but my husband is and gave his approval of the brand provided). Our room was impeccably clean, something I think most Indigo hotels have in common because I always feel like it's safe to walk around barefoot in them (something I don't do at most hotels). It's relatively new, and so it's very clean and bright. If you're a fan of Indigo hotels like I am, you won't be disappointed by the Indigo in Asheville.
